Kellands attends small business networking event

Two of our advisers, Charles Homer (left) and Matt Hodges (right), recently teamed up to represent Kellands at an innovative business networking event hosted by sixth formers at Bredon School.

The event was held on 18th January at the school and was raising money for two charities - CLIC Sargent and Caring for Communities and People.

Charles and Matt had the opportunity to present to small businesses from the fields of technology, property, law, agriculture, food, and retail, as well as to parents. They were also able to network with other guests whilst enjoying the music, entertainment, and refreshments.

Organised by seven enterprising Sixth Form students as part of their Year 13 Business Studies course, they showed that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and kicking in this part of the world. Some Bredon School pupils also used the event to promote their fledgling businesses!

The event was well attended and very well organised. The networking aspect is always fruitful and it was good to be involved in an event which could see some start-ups blossom.
